World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

The Global Innovation Index (GII) is a ranking of innovation performance of around 130 countries produced by Cornell University, INSEAD, and WIPO. Over the last eleven years, and as countries increasingly use its results, the GII has established itself as a tool for action for decision makers. 

WIPO's World Intellectual Property Indicators 2014 provides a wide range of indicators covering the following areas of intellectual property: patents, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs, microorganisms and plant variety protection. It draws on data from national and regional IP offices, WIPO and the World Bank.
