La population marocaine de grandes outardes (Otis tarda), une espèce menacées de l'UICN™, est en faible nombre et en déclin, et elle survit principalement dans deux sites de reproduction (leks) où l'on dénombre entre 40 et 50 oiseaux.

The Moroccan population of the Great Bustard Otis tarda, a Vulnerable species according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™, is small and declining, surviving mainly in two breeding areas (leks) and numbering some 40 to 50 birds.

SPREP presents these guidelines for undertaking rapid biodiversity assessments in its Pacific island member countries and territories: Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia. These assessments are referred to as BIORAPs. The guidelines are recommended to be used by SPREP members for the planning and implementation of terrestrial and marine BIORAP surveys, and subsequent monitoring of important sites.
