This document provides a review of existing literature around women’s roles in local economies, cultural preservation and environmental conservation in the Mediterranean Basin. The paper further identifies data gaps and economic opportunities to support cultural practices in the region’s cultural landscapes.
This publication shares IUCN's experiences in developing the world's first gender-responsive national strategies and roadmaps on climate change. Different sections outline steps and elements of creating a climate change gender action plan (ccGAP) or REDD+ roadmap; present principles behind the strategies and what has worked best; detail case studies highlighting sectors that demonstrate the gender dimensions of climate change in different national contexts; and provide recommendations on how to move forward.
One of the pre-requisites in the process of putting in place the Kikuletwa Catchment Forum is development of training materials to be used for Training of Trainers (TOT) programme covering topics in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), entrepreneurships; community participation; gender and other cross cutting issues relating to WRM, climate change and adaptation strategies and the contribution of water resources in poverty reduction.
Este documento pretende recolectar información que sirva de insumo para elaborar una estrategia en el abordaje de la equidad de género, tomando en cuenta las condiciones y necesidades de las mujeres de la zona y elaborar un marco de referencia que permita el seguimiento y evaluación de las acciones emprendidas por el Proyecto UICN/BASIM en los próximos años.
