The authors primary object was to obtain photographs of Elephants, Rhinoceros, Hippopotamus, Buffalo and Giraffe and show them in their natural setting. Additionally, he describes how he got these photographs.
The Newsletter is published twice yearly. It contains papers and short communications on the wild pig, peccary and hippo species, including details on their taxonomy, distribution, conservation threats, and conservation management programs. Furthermore, the newsletter provides information on upcoming activities by the IUCN/SSC Pigs, Peccaries, and Hippos Specialist Group.
