IUCN World Conservation Congress

KEITI estimates total GHG emissions generated for the duration of the IUCN COngress was 6,847 tons CO2 eq. Emissions from flights by delegates were 4,811 tons CO2eq which accounted for 70.3% of the total emissions associated with the event.

The Conservation Campus at the 2012 IUCN World Conservation Congress was designed to provide an interactive learning environment to build capacity in support of the IUCN Programme, drawing on the knowledge and expertise of the Union.
