Film begining at 20'. The film takes place at the eastern border of the Amazon basin and focuses on latifundia. It shows how the forests are being destroyed to make way for roads to Brazilia and Belem, livestock and other forms of economic development. It pictures the squatters and highlights the often violent conflict with landowners.
