Mbégué : une forêt sacrifiée

The Mbégué forest in the middle of the Senegal was a remnant of the sahelian forest. It was a silvo-pastoral reserves that means that it's a forest reserve which can be use by the Peuls pastoralists. In 1991, 45 000ha was destroyed to let the groundnut crop extension. It's the religious brotherhood of the Maurides which make the groundnut exploitation.
