Describe the results/achievements of the activities
IUCN-South America supported and attended the Workshop on "Defenders of Nature" carried out in Bogota in November/2017. In that event the IUCN National Committee of Colombia was invited (and Fundacion Natura, one of the proponents of the Resolution attended on behalf of the Colombian Committee). It is being coordinated with IUCN-NL future actions on this matter.
Challenges/obstacles encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and measures taken
Lack of financial resources is one obstacle for the implementation of this Resolution (considering also that this issue was not included in our "IUCN-South AMerica Working Plan"). This is a key theme for Colombia at the moment (and there are other actors that are better positioned in the Country, including IUCN members and partners)

It is being coordinated with IUCN-NL future actions on Defenders of Nature.
