Education/Communication/Raising awareness
Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken: 
- The CEESP Theme on Business and Accountability is looking at the impact of extractives and other resource intensive activities on biodiversity and communities.
- CEESP is working on a publication on environmental defenders.
- An activity report submitted by the Commission on Education and Communication noted that the action by the University of Victoria in Canada in the establishment of the world’s first degree programme to combine the intensive study of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous law is an important achievement, enabling people to work fluently across the two realms.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
Challenges include issues around the recognition of land tenure rights at the national level.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
The IPO Member Strategy once implemented will advance issues relevant to this Resolution.
