This report organises its findings around six interconnected ENACT systems. In agriculture and food systems, NbS can reverse degradation, reduce emissions and enhance food security. In human settlements, NbS improve public health and foster inclusive, liveable cities. For natural and modified ecosystems, NbS safeguard ecological integrity and carbon sinks while supporting livelihoods. Green-grey infrastructure systems benefit from hybrid solutions that enhance resilience to floods and heat while complementing engineered infrastructure. In water systems, NbS improve water quality, regulate flows and mitigate disaster risks and closely relate to green-blue-grey infrastructure systems. Finally, cross-cutting enabling systems determine the success of NbS by creating conditions for inclusive, equitable and systemic transformation.
