Resolution implementation is in a stage of Planning and Resource mobilization. Once resources are secured, preparations are ready to move very quickly, with total implementation anticipated to take 2-2.5 years. Actors from all parts of the IUCN Constituency will be involved once the implementation launches.

| Coordination issues | The power and legitimacy of IUCN Policy comes from its mandate from through the IUCN Resolutions process and subsequent implementation with oversight from IUCN Council. However, there is a definite concern regarding how such implementation of WCC-2025-Res-140 can proceed with sufficient speed to keep pace with the extremely rapid current developments in the field of AI. |
