Although all coastal development projects in Lebanon typically require an environmental impact assessment (EIA), biodiversity has rarely been given specific or appropriate consideration in the EIA process. The objective of this report is to present guidelines that specifically address biodiversity inclusion in EIA studies.

This is the first national Red List assessment of the 85 mammalian species, reported from Jordan. The aim was to assess the national conservation status of the terrestrial mammals in Jordan. The information provided in this report will help to put local conservation priorities into a national context, thus maximizing the effectiveness of conservation measures, and facilitating the development of integrated national conservation strategies.

This study is aimed at the assessment of current policies as well as regulatory and legal frameworks on renewable energy and energy efficiency, water management, the food security nexus and sustainable development in the countries of Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia. It also closely considers climate change and the issue of gender. 

The objective of this report is to analyse the potential for enhancing synergies among the biodiversityrelated conventions and to develop a set of practical options for synergies in Bahrain.

Tabe'a II is a second more detailed analysis of the Arab region's World Heritage Programme based on the baseline established in the first report from 2011, as well as of the progress achieved since then.

This document will share with a broad audience of practitioners and policy makers, notably in the West Asia and Mediterranean regions, what integrated approaches are necessary to make water resources management and climate change resilience actions a success.
