Gouvernance et gestion des aires protégées est une compilation de textes originaux, d'études de cas et d'exemples du monde entier. Il s’appuie sur une vaste littérature et sur les connaissances et l'expérience de nombreux acteurs des aires protégées. Ces derniers y présentent les connaissances actuelles et les idées innovantes des diverses branches de la gouvernance et de la gestion des aires protégées.

El libro sintetiza el conocimiento actual y el pensamiento de vanguardia de las diversas ramas de la práctica y el aprendizaje relevantes para la gestión y el gobierno de estas zonas.

The present publication offers a suite of tools to support the effectiveness and viability of indigenous peoples and community conserved territories and areas (ICCAs) as governance structures for the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems. This toolkit presents a selection of practical resources, developed by numerous organisations, making them readily accessible to community-based organisations who manage ICCAs.

Despite the dedicated efforts of many individuals and organizations, the great apes—our closest living relatives—are on the very edge of extinction. This sweeping atlas provides a comprehensive overview of what is currently known about all six species of great apes—chimpanzee, bonobo, Sumatran orangutan, Bornean orangutan, eastern gorilla, and western lowland gorilla.

The aim of the report is to assess the status of the protected area network of the Republic of Korea and propose priorities for expansion to support the implementation of international and national biodiversity targets.

The Protected Planet Report 2016 assesses how protected areas contribute to achieving the Aichi Biodiversity Targets and relevant targets of the Sustainable Development Goals, and highlights current research and case studies as examples of the role protected areas play in conserving biodiversity and cultural heritage.

Protected areas are inspirational and transformative destinations for millions of people worldwide every year; effectively managed protected areas also help conserve biodiversity and wild nature, sustain ecosystem services, aned provide natural solutions to climate change. Thus, the governance and management of protected areas need to be effective, as the people with protected area management responsibilities have a stewardship responsibility in caring for lands and seas on behalf of future generations, as well as a guardian role.
