Este estudio trata de un análisis económico de 11 acciones de restauración del paisaje en Honduras, que van desde la restauración de áreas agrícolas (pastos, granos básicos, cafetales) hasta las áreas forestales (bosque de pino y de mangle). Abarca 14 indicadores financieros, cuatro indicadores ambientales y dos indicadores sociales que sirven para comparar las técnicas de restauración mediante un análisis multicriterio.
In recent years, Cameroon has been approached by growing numbers of local and international investors wanting to acquire arable land for large-scale agro-industrial operations. In order to make a realistic assessment of the situation, this study takes a closer look at large-scale land acquisitions by the agro-industrial sector since 2005. Examining the legal framework and the practical implications of these land acquisitions, it shows that there is a risk that these investments will affect the long-term capacity of communities to preserve their traditional way of living.
This report considers the status and trends of pan-European biodiversity in a range of ecosystems, and the implications of these trends for biodiversity management policy and practice. It considers the key biodiversity policy instruments currently applied in Europe, the threats to biodiversity and the management implications of such threats across major habitat types. The report makes use of Streamlining European 2010 Biodiversity Indicators (SEBI 2010) and other relevant national and regional information sources that the European Environment Agency coordinates.
