Retos en la implementación de REDD+ en México a través de esquemas de distribución de beneficios en favor de poblaciones en condición de pobreza

La implementación de las actividades para reducir las emisiones procedentes de la deforestación y la degradación forestal en los paises en desarrollo, para la promoción de la conservación de los acervos forestales de carbono, la gestión sostenible de los bosques y la mejora de los acervos de carbono (REDD+) generará diversos beneficios ambientales y sociales. La distribución de beneficios REDD+ se refiere, por lo tanto, a la voluntad para distribuir los beneficios derivados de este programa entre los grupos de interés en un pais.

Informe país : consideraciones para la distribución de beneficios REDD+ en Perú

El documento ofrece un resumen sobre el marco legal e institucional para el desarrollo de mecanismos de distribución de beneficios REDD+. Asimismo presenta lecciones aprendidas, retos y recomendaciones para el diseño de estos mecanismos en el contexto peruano. Las lecciones, retos y recomendaciones fueron recopilados durante el diálogo multi-actores sobre Distribución de Beneficios REDD+ que realizó El Diálogo Forestal (TFD por sus siglas en inglés) y la Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza (UICN) en Perú en marzo de 2014.

Country report : considerations for REDD+ benefit sharing in Peru

The document presents a summary of the legal and institutional framework necessary for the development of REDD+ benefit-sharing mechanisms. Furthermore, it introduces lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for the design of such mechanisms in a Peruvian context. These lessons, challenges and recommendations were compiled during the multi-stakeholder REDD+ Benefit Sharing Dialogue, coordinated by The Forests Dialogue (TFD) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), in Peru in March 2014.
