This book focuses on the relationship between climate change and biodiversity. It opens with general perspectives on the main issues, pointing out the need to take an holistic approach and to urge policy makers to take action, even when scientific evidence is not always conclusive. Evidence on climate change and biodiversity loss in an historical context is presented, and the impact of climate change on terrestrial flora and fauna and on aquatic life closely examined.

Documents nationally threatened fauna and flora of Sri Lanka. The lists were prepared using new national criteria. According to the lists, a total of 560 species of fauna and 690 species of plants are found to be highly threatened or threatened.

Of interest for all those involved in the conservation and sustainable use of Nepal's rich biological heritage. This report covers the present status of knowledge on Nepal's biodiversity, the relevant socio-economic factors, and the current capacity for conservation.
