CITES : un instrumento para la conservación : una guía para enmendar los Apéndices de la Convención sobre el Comercio Internacional de Especies Amenazadas de Fauna y Flora Silvestres preparado para la doudécima reunión de la Conferencia de las Parte

This is the first comprehensive environmental law book based primarily on materials from Asia and the Pacific, designed to provide appropriate resources for academics and other trainers in environmental law in the region. It adopts a broad view of sustainable development as being the basis of modern environmental law, with emphasis on social justice and equity. The first volume is predominantly applicable to national and local environmental laws while the second volume predominantly deals with international environmental law and regional cooperation.
This action guide is the culmination of a four-year IUCN project on the convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the international trade regime. The point of departure for the project was the assumption that both the CBD and the World Trade Organization (WTO) represent regimes whose successful implementation is necessary in order to achieve sustainable development. The project yielded a rich set of recommendations on three themes relating to the core of the CBD: forests, fisheries and intellectual property rights (IPRs).
