It explains how the oceans work and vividly presents the myriad variety of underwater life forms and habitats.; The core of this book is an atlas mapping every ocean to show resources, human impacts, threatened species, topographical features and important regional issues. The maps, based on reseach undertaken by IUCN, are complemented by features on wildlife and human uses and abuses of regional marine resources.

Le cap des Trois Fourches

Le cap des Trois Fourches est un excellent 'candidat' à être érigé en Aire Protégée Marine (APM) en raison de sa grande qualité écologique, attestée par la présence de nombreuses espèces bio-indicatrices, par la diversité élevée d'espèces, aussi bien les espèces protégées que les espèces d'intérêt commericial, ainsi que par la diversité des habitats (prairies, grottes, substrat rocheux, etc.). La présente brochure est un document qui rassemble toute l'information disponible sur les valeurs biologiques et écologiques ainsi que socio-économiques et culturelles du cap des Trois Fourches.
