The film depicts the environmentally-disastrous oil slick caused by Israels bombing of the Jiyyeh power plant in south Lebanon on July 13 and 15, 2006. It shows how the prevailing currents and winds carried the oil slick north, polluting more than 150 km of Lebanese shoreline and releasing about 15,000 tones of toxic fuel into the Mediterranean.

The Documentary covers the complicated process that the different national and international parties faced while dealing with the environmental catastrophe. It also exposes the suffering of fishermen who are already struggling to make a living in a complex political and economic environment.

This very first directory of wetlands of one of the most arid zones on earth is intended to increase awareness among decision makers and planners of the consequences of wetland loss and degradation. It will also assist responsible authorities to identify new sites for listing under the Ramsar Convention. The directory consists of a series of national reports describing the principal wetlands in 13 countries.
