This study entailed a review of the existing literature relevant to agriculture policy, water policy and the status of various conventions/protocols to which Pakistan is a signatory. It identifies the gaps and makes recommendations on ways and means to address the gaps in the existing documents. Gap analysis techniques include commenting on what the present state is and how one could get to a desired state.
This study aims to explore options for pro-poor environmental fiscal reform (EFR) in Abbottabad. it serves as a primary evaluation, investigating ground realities, examining the institutional context and assessing household perceptions. It is hoped that the findings of this report will form the basis for further investigation and lay the groundwork for EFR implementation in the district.

This preliminary study aims to assess the current status of drinking water services in the district. This toolkit explains the concept of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), especially the historical background and its evolution under the 36th chapter of Agenda. The second part provides very useful and interesting activities for teachers which could be used in training workshops for the promotion of ESD.
To take the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) conference forward, IUCN Pakistan organized a national conference on ESD in 2007, in collaboration with UNESCO. The workshop considered the linkages between ecology, economy and society with emphasis on learning from global best practices to take the sustainable development agenda forward, develop linkages with key partners and focus on required skills and processes to market sustainable lifestyles.
