PANORAMA is a partnership initiative to facilitate learning from success in conservation. It promotes examples of inspiring solutions that showcase how nature conservation can benefit society. PANORAMA enables the wider application of such solutions through cross-sectoral global learning and exchange. Through a modular case study format, solutions are dissected into their replicable “building blocks”.

The main purpose of this Study is to serve as contribution to policy review and reforms by documenting and analysing the existing schemes of governance of local forests in the region. Further, the methodology applied in this Regional Study and the experiences made are expected to contribute to the further development of the IUCN Nature Resource Governance Framework by providing practical test cases from a specific region.

This study reviews range state policy and management responses to expanding or abundant species of seals -- the Cape fur, northern fur, hooded, harp, ringed, grey, harbour and crabeater seals.

Climate change is the most significant moral and environmental issue of our time. This project seeks to help deepen explicit ethical reflection around the world on national responses to climate change by developing a publicly available record on national compliance with ethical obligations for climate change similar to the reports that are now available on national compliance with human rights obligations.

It covers its biology, ecology, evolution, and conservation, and is based on original data collected in different parts of its range, supplemented with information from the literature.

With over 2,700 endemic plant taxa, including relict species, the Caucasus region is one of the world’s most beautiful and important biodiversity hotspots.

Cranes, a flagship species of waterbirds, have great cultural significance - especially the Siberian Crane. Yet, even after decades of conservation efforts, cranes remain threatened with 11 species at risk. To help reverse these trends, the UNEP/GEF Siberian Crane Wetland Project  was the first project to its kind to take a "flyway" approach to conservation, looking to secure the ecological integrity of a network of 16 critical wetlands in Eurasia.
