Agricultural standards and associated certification schemes can play a critical role in mainstreaming biodiversity conservation within farming practices. However, the diversity of standards and criteria makes it difficult to understand how effective they are in raising ambition for biodiversity conservation and delivering contributions to the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF).
