Convene stakeholders/Networking
Education/Communication/Raising awareness

Scientific/technical activities
Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken:
We are on track for implementing the resolution. The task force is up and running, and we have convened two taskforce workshops, one in June to discuss the formation of the Task Force and outline the mandated situation analysis, and one in October to advance the drafting of individual chapters of the situation analysis. An additional meeting in December allowed the chair of the task force to present the work to IUCN Secretariat staff. The situation analysis has been written and has gone through IUCN wide and external peer-review.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome :
The resolution has faced very few challenges so far. Some members were unable to participate at one or the other of the meetings; however, they were followed up with and ongoing communication has kept them in the loop.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution:
The review comments from the public review process will need to be incorporated into the final draft of the situation analysis, which will be launched in June. Further fundraising for task force activities will be essential as well as strategic discussion at the 3rd task force meeting to be held in June, in London. This discussion will lay out the key activities for the Task Forces for the remainder of the Quadrennium.
Are these actions planned for yet:
Yes
