| Field activities | A project, funded by NSF-Fapesp is collecting data with with the goals of understanding spillover risk in areas with both forest loss and forest gain.This project will increase the knowledge about how the loss and gain of forests in tropical areas affects the health of the environment and animals, and consequently the risk of epidemics and pandemics. the grant was awarded in October 2022 and the project starts in January 2023. | On-going | Full activity report | |

| Convene stakeholders/Networking | WCPA created a new Task Force on Protected Areas and One Health. Task Force aims: "...to integrate protected and conserved areas (PCAs) into One Health policy at all levels and to improve PCA management and policy by incorporating One Health themes. We will consider PCAs with all governance types, including those managed by local or Indigenous communities, and while we will focus mostly on infectious disease aspects of health, we will use the Quadripartite’s definition of One Health. We will elaborate a role for the WCPA and develop knowledge products that link PCAs and One Health in research, policy, and practice." |

Le CF UICN s’est associé avec la SFDE (membre de l’UICN) pour proposer un projet de loi sur l’approche une seule santé. La consultation sur ce projet sera élargie à tous les membres et experts du CF UICN membres.
