In this publication, several case studies from the African continent illustrate the "nature-based solutions" approach and offer hope that effective solutions to the climate change dilemma can be addressed through local responses that also achieve mutual benefits for biodiversity conservation and community resilience.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a range of information which may be useful during dialogue to establish appropriate river flow regimes in the Sekong River in Viet Nam, Lao PDR and Cambodia when large hydropower projects are constructed and operated. It is designed to provide baseline or background information to assist in the process.

This publication is an output of joint research conducted on the importance of migratory and spawning patterns for the conservation of the hilsa. The objective of the research was to study migration and spawning patterns, methods of fishing, status of, and threats to, hilsa in the region with a view to enhanced conservation. It also revewed and assessed how current legislation and policy is affecting the species. 

La présente analyse de situation a été réalisée pour éclairer les réponses à plusieurs résolutions formulées lors du 5 Congrès mondial de la nature en 2012, concernant l'état critique des grands vertébrés d'Afrique centrale et de l'Ouest.
