Ipieca and IUCN have developed this set of guiding principles for marine net positive impact (NPI) in the energy industry to address the unique challenges of delivering net positive impact for energy projects in the marine environment (Figure 1). The principles aim to help companies operating in the marine environment, and other interested stakeholders looking to turn ambition into credible, lasting gains for marine biodiversity.

This document is a companion guide to the Regenerative Roof Scorecard, a decision-support tool developed by IUCN in collaboration with Holcim, with technical leadership from Second Nature Ecology + Design, and industry testing with Zinco. The Scorecard evaluates regenerative roof designs in two areas: site-based benefits and embodied impacts. Site-based benefits include biodiversity support, health and well-being, climate change adaptation and mitigation.

This booklet provides practical guidance on how the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems (RLE) and the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) Ecosystem Accounting can be produced and used in combination for policy, decision-making and monitoring, with a focus on implementation and monitoring of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.

This Summary is an expanded version of the Executive Summary of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) Good Practice Guidelines on Protected and Conserved Areas Series volume on Recognising territories and areas conserved by Indigenous peoples and local communities (ICCAs) overlapped by protected areas.

This IUCN WCPA Technical Report results from the deliberations of an IUCN Task Force on Ecological Integrity, and aims to provide guidance on how to successfully incorporate ecological integrity into conservation policy and practice. Ecological integrity, together with several related concepts (e.g. ecosystem integrity, ecological condition, ecological degradation, resilience, ecosystem health), are grounded in a long history in the scientific literature.

First introduced as the IUCN Green List Standard for Protected and Conserved Areas, the IUCN Global Standard for effective and equitable protected and conserved areas version 2.0 (Global PCA Standard) provides this common framework.
