Ocean deoxygenation : everyone's problem...summary for policy makers

The ocean represents 97% of the physical habitable space on the planet and is central to sustaining all life on Earth. Since 2000 significant and dedicated effort has been directed at raising awareness and understanding of the consequences of greenhouse gas emissions on the ocean. Carbon dioxide emitted by human activities is driving the ocean towards more acidic conditions.

Women and climate change

Climate change is one of the greatest ecological and environmental challenges of our time, and the impacts of climate change disproportionately affect the world's 1.3 billion poor, the majority of whom are women. This report identifies many key challenges posed by climate change, examines their gender dimensions, and proposes timely recommendations for a broad base of stakeholders - international decision-makers, national ministries, the private sector, and local organizations.

Bridging the gap between ocean acidification impacts and economic valuation : regional impacts of ocean acidification on fisheries and aquaculture

Following the first international workshop on the economics of ocean acidification organized by the Centre Scientifique de Monaco and the International Atomic Energy Agency in 2010,  a second international workshop was held in November 2012, which explored the level of risk, and the resilience or vulnerability of defined regions of the world ocean in terms of fishery and aquaculture species and economic impacts, and social adaptation. This report includes the findings and recommendations of the respective regional working groups and is the result of an interdisciplinary
