The wide-reaching effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have included immense loss of life and serious health and economic consequences across communities and  ecosystems. Tourism, which itself suffered a sharp disruption in the pandemic, is among the industries that have a strong interest to reduce risks and increase resilience toward a more sustainable model in line with a One Health approach.

The Atlas is intended to assist Veterinary Service field staffs involved in animal disease surveillance and diagnostics in identifying important transboundary diseases of livestock. The focus of this publication is on key images of clinical signs and post mortem lesions associated with 29 OIE notifiable animal diseases supplemented by basic disease information from the OIE technical disease cards.

The purpose of the Manual of Diagnostic Tests for Aquatic Animals (the Aquatic Manual) is to provide a standardised approach to the diagnosis of the diseases listed in the Aquatic Code, to facilitate health certification for trade in aquatic animals and aquatic animal products.

A 30-page manual detailing the different diseases of mud crab and the corresponding prevention/control measures.

The standards in the Aquatic Code are based on the most recent scientific and technical information and have been formally adopted by the World Assembly of OIE Delegates.

The first issue of Volume 35 of the Scientific and Technical Review provides a collection of in-depth articles on potential applications of pathogen genomics. The increasing power of high-throughput sequencing, bioinformatics and computational biology have revolutionised most aspects of biomedical and veterinary sciences. Such new technologies and tools have also had a big impact on the diagnosis, control and management of animal diseases.
