International cooperation

Este documento en tres lenguas pretende revisar los programas y las redes para las zonas protegidas en la región del Mediterráneo. Se concentra en la gestión, puntos débiles, puntos fuertes, carencias y sinergias, intentando destacar las zonas en las que se precisa trabajar más. Su objetivo primordial reside en analizar la labor realizada hasta el momento más que en los planes de futuro.

This booklet contains views and abstracts of articles from the special COP6 edition of the magazine Ecologie & Ontwikkeling (Ecology & Development) published by the Netherlands Committee for IUCN. It reviews the role and importance of the Biodiversity Convention and focuses on the priority themes of the COP6, aiming to briefly sketch some points of view on the history and framework of the Convention.

In preparation for WSSD, IUCN's international Task Force invited prominent experts from African civil society to meet together in Dakar. This publication in both English and French is the result of that meeting.
