Como respuesta a la falta de información sobre el tema es que nace la iniciativa de elaborar por medio de un proceso participativo, un documento que de forma ilustrativa y sencilla explique las acciones que se deben tomar en caso de detectar daños ambientales en las comunidades, principalmente los relacionados con el ecosistema de humedales.

Provee información general acerca de los humedales, instrumentos legales que los rigen y sitios prioritarios del área geográfica de Río San Juan, así como de los retos que enfrentan hacia la implementación de un verdadero uso racional.
