Tenure and sustainable use

The issue of tenure strikes at the heart of much of what "the nations of the world" hold most precious - their capacity to sustain themselves. This volume was compiled in 1998 to communicate the science and scholarship of tenure to policy makers and decision makers around the world. It represents a snapshot of the issue of tenure and sustainable use by a number of leading practitioners and academics in the field. The papers were presented at two conferences in 1998, the GBF Forum in Bratislava and Tenure and Sustainalbe Use in Oslo.
