This book is a useful compendium of initiatives and projects demonstrating the benefits of sustainable land management for livelihoods, in particularly harsh environments.
Cette publication est un résultat du troisième Forum régional pour les océans, les côtes et le bien-être humain en Afrique de Blue Solutions qui s’est tenu au printemps 2016. Elle compile 32 solutions bleues de l’Afrique dont la plupart ont été présentées pendant l’événement.
This publication is a result of the Blue Solutions’ third Regional Forum for Oceans, Coasts and Human Well-Being in Africa held in spring 2016. It compiles 32 blue solutions from Africa, most of which were presented during the event. The solutions summarised in this publication focus on topics such as marine protected areas, sustainable tourism, sustainable fisheries, sustainable livelihoods, conservation of resources and biodiversity as well as mitigation of the effects of climate change.
These bylaws were developed through a consultative process involving stakeholders of the Building Drought Resilience (BDR) Project implemented by IUCN with funding from Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC). The goal of the bylaws is to support the sustainable management of land and water resources in the Lower Tana River Catchment through enhanced natural resource governance in order to build resilience of communities to drought.

This report draws widely from the diverse experience of landscape partnerships to analyze the challenges and opportunities for businesses and their partners, and lays out critical actions needed by businesses themselves, and by financial institutions, governments and landscape programs, to improve the effectiveness of landscape partnerships and replicate the approach in many more places.
This book is concentrated on forest environmental issues from the perspective of reforestation in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea using international and national experience and opportunities. The major idea of this book is to share some relevant information and available knowledge on the issue.
