La création de la Réserve naturelle de l'Aïr et du Ténéré (RNNAT) est le fruit d'un processus qui a débuté à l'initiative de l'UICN, du WWF et du PNUE. La RNNAT couvre une surface de 77 360km2 et occupe des paysages très divers. En son coeur a été créée une réserve intégrale dont l'accès est strictement réglementé et dont la mise en place a été initiée afin de créer les conditions favorables à la reproduction de l'Addax. L'étude est composée de deux parties.

Examines the educational and training needs arising from relevant legal instruments; covers education and training currently undertaken by national programmes; and, by considering the range of tools available, identifies initiatives for improving the environmental education of scientists, support staff and tourists to the Antarctic.

These papers seek to show how environmental economics can be brought in to assist with the design and management of protected areas.

This report reviews the most recent research findings and management issues on the utilization of coastal resources in Senegal, with the view to providing baseline guidelines for future coastal planning initiatives.
