Esta publicación está dirigida principalmente a técnicos, gestores e investigadores de estepas semiáridas del Mediterráneo occidental con el objetivo de proporcionarles un manual útil y práctico sobre restauración ecológica de estepas, con información sobre las experiencias y actuaciones más recientes que están permitiendo aumentar la resiliencia de estos socioecosistemas esteparios.

Cette publication s'adresse principalement aux techniciens, gestionnaires et chercheurs des steppes semi-arides de la Méditerranée occidentale dans le but de leur fournir un guide utile et pratique sur la restauration écologique de la steppe. Elle contient des informations sur les expériences et les mesures récentes qui permettent d'augmenter la résilience de ces socio-écosystèmes steppiques.

Les systèmes dunaires ont une distribution géographique mondiale. Cependant, ce livre est un recueil adapté aux dunes côtières de la Méditerranée occidentale. Il présente dans un premier temps un recueil de concepts de base sur la dynamique côtière, qui concerne à la fois les processus physiques (sédimentaires) et leur fonctionnement écologique, ainsi qu'une description des techniques de restauration potentielles.

This book analyzes the state and management of national parks in Africa. It discusses the state of ecosystems of national parks in the continent and assesses the capacity of environmental leadership and management to positively impact on biodiversity conservation in national pakrs. The book also examines the economic, social, and environmental performance of national parks in Africa and the role of stakeholders in the reailzation of the anticipated benefits of national parks in Africa.

The IUCN Species Survival Commission and IUCN Asia Regional Office commissioned this independent report to assess the state and condition of intertarget_idal habitats along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway (EAAF), in response to growing concerns expressed by IUCN members over observed declines in biodiversity, the loss of ecological services, and an increase in ecological disasters.

Esta publicacion tiene como objetivo proporcionar los datos, las teorias y las previsions para el posible resultado a largo plazo de un programa de conservacion de la biodiversidad en un sitio minero. La mina de ilmenita de Rio Tinto en el sudeste de Madagascar, operada por QIT Madagascar Minerals (Rio Tinto QMM), ha sido seleccionada como sitio piloto para comprobar las herramientas disenadas para lograr y cuantificar el impacto neto positivo (INP) sobre la biodiversidad.

This publication aims to provide the data, theory, and predictions for the potential long-term outcome of a biodiversity conservation programme at a mining site. The Rio Tinto ilmenite mine in southeastern Madagascar, run by QIT Madagascar Minerals (Rio Tinto QMM), has been chosen as a pilot site to test the tools designed to achieve and quantify net positive impact (NPI) on biodiversity.
