La Malette pédagogique est le manuel de la version 2 de l’outil intégré sur l’efficacité de gestion (IMET, en anglais) et de coaching ou action d’accompagnement professionnel des équipes de gestion des aires protégées. IMET est un outil d’aide à la décision destiné à faire avancer le processus de planification-suivi-évaluation pour améliorer l’efficacité de la gestion des aires protégées.

Essas diretrizes abordam o planejamento e a gestão de áreas sob proteção privada (ou PPAs) e as diretrizes são direcionadas principalmente aos profissionais e formuladores de políticas, que estão ou podem estar envolvidos com PPAs. Orientação é dada em todos os aspectos do estabelecimento, gestão e comnunicação da PPA, e são fornecidas informações sobre princípios e melhores práticas, com exemplos retirados de muitas partes diferentes do mundo.

These guidelines address planning and management of privately protected areas (PPAs) and the guidance is aimed principally at practitioners and policy makers, who are or may be involved with PPAs. Guidance is given on all aspects of PPA establishment, management and reporting, and information is provided on principles and best practices, with examples drawn from many different parts of the world.

These guidelines provide an update and expansion of the original Guidelines for Cave and Karst Protection, published in 1997. The original guidelines were primarily concerned with geoheritage, and while this remains an important consideration in this second edition, it also covers the biological issues involved in cave and karst conservation.
