L’étude thématique sur le patrimoine mondial marin a été rédigée dans le but d’apporter des orientations aux États parties et aux praticiens de la conservation sur les meilleurs moyens d’appliquer la Convention du patrimoine mondial dans les océans et dans les mers.

The marine World Heritage thematic study was written to provide guidance to States Parties and conservation practitioners on how to best apply the World Heritage Convention in the oceans and seas. The study proposes a scientific framework as the foundation for a well-balanced and representative set of features that may be of Outstanding Universal Value to inform choices when nominating or inscribing sites.

The aim of this research is to: 1) identify the negative impact of conservation policies implemented in living World Heritage sites on the social quality of traditional communities; 2) develop a design tool constraining spatial morphology to overcome the negative influences on the social quality The study leads to a new approach to conservation planning that takes into account sustaining social quality while enforcing UNESCO World Heritage conservation program.

This synopsis has been produced to highlight the core aspects of the first three volumes of Natural Capital of Mexico, which gives us an overview to identify priorities for future attention, new research areas and options for the conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity in Mexico.

This book aims to give more specific and more easily accessible information about Dokdo's ecological, geological, and meteorological conditions, and marine ecosystem. By examining this unique volcanic island, which has a specific endemic ecosystem, it is anticipated that the information might foster a better understanding of Dokdo.

The report gives an account of Ireland's natural heritage or biodiversity, starting with the legislative framework designed to protect it, and presents a brief portrait of some of the contry's more important habitats and elements of her flora and fauna. The main threats to biodiversity in Ireland are discussed and the report concludes by attempting to assess the state of the natural environment and how efforts to manage and safeguard our natural heritage are progressing.

Denkmalschutz und Naturschutz sind zwei Disziplinen, die sich dem Schutz und der Pflege kulturhistorisch bedeutsamer Einzelobjekte, aber auch Ensembles und ganzen Landschaften annehmen. Nicht immer gelingt es, dieses Interesse gemeinsam zu vertreten, nicht immer entsprechen sich die disziplinären Zielsetzungen.

Le Maroc entreprend une initiative de grande envergure visant l'établissement d'un réseau national d'aires protégées écologiquement représentatif et adéquatement géré. Plus de 150 Sites d'Intérêt Biologique et Ecologique, identifiés dans différentes régions du pays constituent la base spatiale pour l'établissement de ces aires protégées. Jusqu'en 2006, neuf de ces sites ont été classés Parcs Nationaux.
