Wetlands

This user handbook has been prepared upon completion of the ESA funded GlobWetland II (GW-II) project. It is a tutorial for the wetland community on the concept and wide use of the information system and products developed in the frame of GW-II. The book provides an overview about the potential of Earth observation offered to all wetland parties for monitoring and assessing wetlands and reporting to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. 

A story book about the children of Tanguar Haor who take lessons on the wetland's resources and also participate in different activities towards conservation of these resources.

This book is a compilation of some interesting stories of Tanguar Haor where the haor people tell their own stories of culture, tradition, joys, deprivation and struggle for survival. 

IUCN Bangladesh has established a methodology to assess wetland biodiversity and its management and written this manual in Bengali, which will be helpful for the target audience (mainly local fishermen, farmers and other stakeholders). This book contains easy methodologies to assess fish production, species richness and wildlife diversity as well as to assess biodiversity management and habitat health by monitoring indicator species (fish, dolphin, birds, herpetofauna, etc.).
