Wild plants for a sustainable future

This report seeks to provide a framework to measure the nexus between gender and the environment. It proposes 18 gender-environment indicators for inclusion in the wider set of gender indicators, across the focal areas of right to land, natural resources and biodiversity; access to food, energy, water and sanitation; climate change, sustainable production and consumption, and health; and women in environmental decision making at all levels.
Este volumen concentra la dinámica de los ecosistemas insulares a través de la lente de un importante taxón de mamíferos, los lagomorfos. Habla sobre la diversificación de los conejos y liebres en las islas de México, así como de las sinergias entre estos mamíferos de gran importancia ecológica y la flora y fauna de estas islas. Este acercamiento resulta oportuno dado que la extinción amenaza a muchos de estos conejos y liebres, y se requieren de esfuerzos para su conservación.
The assessment includes a global review of literature and legal information on international and national law and policy, a desk assessment of mangrove-related legal instruments in India, Kenya and Mexico, and an in-depth evaluation of effectiveness of mangrove-related law in Costa Rica, Madagascar and Vietnam.
This edited collection assesses governance in forestry programmes and projects, including REDD+ governance.
The 2012 report card highlights three focal sections: existing and emerging threats to reef health an assessment on the current state of the reef and social context; highlights of reef conservation actions across the region, including the prioritized recommendations to foster healthy reefs and healthy people.
