The situation analysis primarily focuses on oil palm in the context of biodiversity conservation based on literature published before 31 January 2018, and aims to provide a constructive pathway to addressing sustainability challenges in the palm oil industry.

In oltre 200 pagine la ricerca illustra la situazione delle risorse genetiche di animali da allevamento e piante coltivate in Italia. Partendo dal rispettivo grado di minaccia, vengono quindi presentate le iniziative di conservazione statali, universitarie e private, per procedere poi ad una stima della necessità di intervento.
