PANORAMA is a partnership initiative to facilitate learning from success in conservation. It promotes examples of inspiring solutions that showcase how nature conservation can benefit society. PANORAMA enables the wider application of such solutions through cross-sectoral global learning and exchange. Through a modular case study format, solutions are dissected into their replicable “building blocks”.

La restauration des paysages forestiers (RPF) offre un cadre complémentaire à l’aménagement forestier durable et une approche écosystémique dans les paysages où la perte de forêt a entraîné un déclin de la qualité des services fournis par les écosystèmes. Cet ouvrage a été rédigé par une équipe d’experts d’institutions très diverses, dont le travail a été coordonné par l’OIBT et l’UICN.

El presente libro fue escrito por un equipo de expertos de una gran diversidad de instituciones coordinadas por la OIMT y la UICN.

Forest landscape restoration (FLR) provides a complementary framework to sustainable forest management and the ecosystem approach in landscapes where forest loss has caused a decline in the quality of ecosystem services.  This book has been written by a team of experts from a wide variety of institutions coordinated by ITTO and IUCN.

The value and role of mangroves, saltmarshes and seagrasses for climate change mitigation was established back in 2009 by reports by IUCN and UNEP to focus attention on addressing a critical gap in national carbon accounting and management.
